Host it yourself – free
KliqBook is free to self-host for your own business, with no limits on bookings, services or staff. You need a small Linux server (1 CPU, 512 MB RAM is plenty) and a domain name.
License: Elastic License 2.0 (© ByteTek Technologies LLC). You may use, modify and self-host it for your own business. You may not offer it to others as a hosted or managed service, or remove its license notices.
Option 1: one-command install (Ubuntu / Debian)
- Point your domain (e.g.
book.example.com) to your server's IP with an A record. - Copy the app to the server and run, as root:
sudo apt-get install -y unzip && unzip kliqbook-public.zip && cd kliqbook
sudo bash deploy/install.sh --domain book.example.com --email you@example.com
The script installs Node.js 20, the app, a systemd service and Caddy with automatic HTTPS. It is safe to re-run. To update, unpack the new version and run sudo bash deploy/update.sh from it: it backs up your database first and rolls back automatically if something goes wrong.
Option 2: Docker
cp .env.example .env # set BASE_URL
docker compose up -d --build
Moving from the hosted version
- In your hosted admin, open Settings → Export your data and download the JSON file.
- On your new installation's first-run page choose Import from an export file.
- Point your domain to the new server. Your services, staff, hours and bookings come with you, and customers' manage links keep working on the new domain.
- Cancel the hosted subscription from Billing.
